The Children of Peru
In the slums around Lima children starve while Peru exports millions of tons of fish protein to feed our pigs. Malnutrition is widespread. Indeed research by a young English girl points to a condition far worse than anyone expected. But this programme also tells the heartening story of a mountain community who, against all the odds, are determined to help themselves.
