This year 5,000 little girls who wanted to be famous auditioned to take over the title role in the hit West End musical Annie. The part went to 10-year-old Claudia Bradley, a girl who had never before performed professionally, but had dreamed of playing Annie from the time she first saw the show.
The last film of this series follows Claudia from her home in Leeds to London, through the rehearsals and the press and photo calls, and on to the stage for her opening night, when a new star is born.

Around Dilys and Howie, the choir sings, the housewives keep fit, and the old men reminisce. Life in the valley isn't what it was. There's no pit in Deri now, and John Jones Treorchy is long since dead. But the humour survives, and it's amazingly peaceful considering ...
