The Reef at Night
During their six months' stay in the Islands of Comoro in the Indian Ocean, ROLAND VON HENTIG and his film team made many dives at night. The apparent lifeless nature of the reef at night is an illusion, many creatures not seen during the day are active in the darkness. It's a good time to see squid and octopi. And what happens to fish at night-do they sleep?

Six directors make their debuts as television drama film-makers The Obelisk by E. M. FORSTER
Adapted for television by PAULINE MACAULAY
A seaside resort in 1938. For Hilda, it seems as if romance almost died when she married school teacher Ernest. Only the movies can keep this spark alive. As she follows her pompous husband up the cliff walk to visit the obelisk, she wonders how he will react to the two sailors who want to join them.
The boisterous Tiny is rather coarse, but his friend Stan has lovely manners and such very blue eyes....

At the beginning of the century, the ambition of every American chorus girl was to appear in a Ziegfeld review. The lavish follies staged by America's greatest show-man almost invariably led to a diamond bracelet, if not to a great career. MGM have produced an equally lavish film of three pretty girls on the threshold of Ziegfeld success and, in true Hollywood style, cast their three most glittering stars as the chorus girls.
