starring Robert Morse
Michele Lee , Rudy Vallee
The accent is as much on comedy as on music in its sophisticated portrait of a young man's rise to power in big business. Robert Morse gives a memorable performance as the ambitious - but outwardly innocent - J. Pierpont Finch who rises from mail-room clerk to Vice-President in the time it takes to boil an egg. Based on Bob Fosse 's original staging this is a witty and fast-paced version of one of the liveliest shows.

' Death is one of the greatest taboos. It doesn't square with our worship of youth; we're afraid of it, we deny it, we are even ashamed of it But the truth, alter all, is that We are all terminally ill. Once we recognise that, we can enjoy the life we have left.'
So speaks Elisabeth Kubler-Ross , a Swiss-American doctor who specialises ia working with the dying - of all ages. Children, she says, are by far her calmest patients. ' TIleY haven't been indoctrinated with the fears and hang-ups of adults. They are not part of the conspiracy of silence which too often surrounds death.' This film follows Kubler-Ross over several weeks; it observes the philosophy and practice of this one-woman travelling hospice.
