The new city of Milton Keynes , in Buckinghamshire, has meant not only new homes but in one case an experimental way of planning the school curriculum. Stantonbury Campus serves one part of the city, and the film looks at the way concepts of ' flexibility ' and ' shared time ' for pupils, have provided them with a wide range of subject choices under a new ' faculty ' structure.

Noggin and the Ice Dragon: 2

On the second leg of his journey to the Antarctic, Bob Langley embarks on the Royal Navy's Ice Patrol Ship Endurance for the voyage from the Falkland Islands to the southern ice cap. The journey takes him across the notorious Drake Passage off the tip of Cape Horn, through a mine-field of icebergs and after a brief respite at an abandoned whaling station, onward to a dangerous and uncharted corner of the Antarctic peninsula.

Girl on a Couch: at the Wallraf-Richartz Museum, Cologne FRANCOIS BOUCHER personified the taste of the French aristocracy before the Revolution. He was First Painter to King Louis XV and favourite artist of the king's official mistress, Madame de Pompadour. He held a near mono-poly for decorating royal residences.
This painting is an example of just how well Boucher could paint when it was not the jaded palates of kings he tried to please, but himself. Written and narrated by EDWIN MULLINS

Singing star Fred Graham is to play the lead in a new show by Cole Porter-an up-dated version of The Taming of the Shrew. He casts both his ex-wife and his girlfriend in the other leading roles - only to discover their suitability for the parts of 1 Katherine ' and ' Bianca ' is painfully obvious. Fourteen songs by the great Cole Porter helped make this show a hit.

The last in a series of five films 5: Playing for Real
As the world becomes more complex, so games, mirroring almost every aspect of our lives proliferate. In New York, one games collector now lives surrounded by 30,000 different board games.
This film travels the border-line between the world of the game and the real world around it - role-playing fantasy games, business games, computer games, war games. We watch a British sports manufacturer revamp the company image around the aggressive dynamism of John McEnroe , analyse the Cuban missile crisis as a poker hand which America won, and Watergate, as the poker hand which Nixon lost.
We see the way games are used to develop frightening new levels of artificial intelligence, look at the connection between computerised video games and the spiralling technology of modern warfare. When the game world ends and the real world begins, will we finally destroy ourselves by destroying the two?
