By barge and boat, Pete Morgan navigates the ancient waterway used by the Romans to provision their northern garrisons.
Sails Along the Trent and Ouse Pete boards the sloop Amy Howson to do it the way the Romans did - by wind and tide. Once a familiar sight with her fore and aft rig and high black leeboards, this working vessel has now been retired to the Humber Keel and Sloop Preservation Society. But she's still eager for the fast flowing waters of the Ouse on the voyage towards Howden and the towers of Selby Abbey. Film editor MARTIN HARRIS Producer DOUGLAS B. SMITH
