This amazing construction, built as an observatory near Berlin after the First World War, is perhaps the only real example of architecture to materialise from the drawings and writings of the German Expressionists.

This week's theme: Story-telling de la Tour (1593-1652) The Fortune Teller at the Metropolitan Museum, New York
A young man has his fortune told by an old woman who is reading his palm. Her accomplices are using the diversion to pick his pocket and cut a gold medal from the chain at his side.
GEORGES DE LA TOUR'S work was only rediscovered early this century. It was hanging in a small chateau before it was recognised as a de la Tour. It ultimately found its way to the Metropolitan Museum in New York, where it now hangs, a powerful, impressive picture.
Since this film was completed, some doubts have been expressed about the true origin of the picture, but whether The Fortune Teller is by de la Tour, or a fake, it is still a great painting. Edwin Mullins , in an examination of all the available evidence, has made another programme called Fake? to be shown this evening at 8.10. Written and narrated by EDWIN MULLINS

Is GEORGES DE LA TOUR'S famous Fortune Teller, shown earlier in One Hundred Great Paintings, a great painting or a fake? Was it painted in 17th-century France as claimed by the Metropolitan Museum in New York which owns it, or faked in our own time as part of a huge conspiracy? Edwin Mullins investigates.

Thp hospital administration needs every minute. Mr Yacoub has to be brought to Heathrow. There a helicopter will be standing by to carry him to the donor in a Yorkshire hospital, and thence back to Harefield for the operation
After that it will be a race against the clock. A heart has only three-and-a-half hours survival time outside the body. About two of those hours will have been spent in transit.
