The accent is as much on comedy as on music in its sophisticated portrait of a young man's rise to power in big business. Robert Morse gives a memorable performance as the ambitious - but outwardly innocent - J. Pierpont Finch who rises from mail-room clerk to Vice-President in the time it takes to boil an egg. Based on Bob Fosse 's original staging this is a witty and fast-paced version of one of the liveliest shows.
