The Awakening Sun
The Sun is the nearest star, but how much is known about it? Less than was believed a few decades ago. There are problems of the sunspots, the strange particles called neutrinos, and the recently discovered oscillations or quivering of the whole solar globe.
Patrick Moore and lain Nicolson discuss these problems, and show photographs of last month's total solar eclipse.

with Jane Dudley and students of the London School of Contemporary Dance
Born in New York,
Jane Dudley was taught by the great names of modern dance: Hanya Holm , Doris Humphrey and Martha Graham. She danced with Graham for many years, and ran her own company.
For over 15 years, however, Jane Dudley has taught at the London School of Contemporary Dance.
After more than 50 years in dance, she believes that dancing is not just technique; you have to train a young dancer's mind and imagination as well as the body.

Jacques Rivette: Ken McMullen, British director of "Ghost Dance" and "Zina", introduces a surrealist mystery.
starring Geraldine Chaplin Jane Birkin
Charlotte and Emily receive an invitation from Clement to perform 'theatre at home' in his villa. The unfinished play he gives them seems to be autobiographical. The girls meet Paul, a magician, who was Clement's rival in love, but Beatrice, his mistress, has disappeared. As they wait for the final act, both girls experience increasingly frightening premonitions. Rivette's cynical fantasy explores the layers of imagination and performance that bedevil human relationships.
