The year is 1951, the people of Britain are rebuilding their lives after the Second World
War, prices are spiralling and Festival magic is in the air. Yet on the other side of the world, men from the Gloucestershire Regiment are about to fight an epic battle in a forgotten war - on the Imjin River in Korea. Outnumbered 30 to one, with no food, no sleep and dwindling ammunition, barely 1,000 Gloucesters held two Chinese armies at bay for four days and nights.
Thirty-seven years on, the veterans of that conflict remember the gallantry of those who died and the cruelty and privation suffered at the hands of their captors.
