Tonight from BBC North West The King of Darts
Alan Evans is a 26-year-old Welsh-man who brings to the world of darts what Barry John brought to rugby and Denis Law to football - moments of magic that set crowds bubbling with pleasure.
After a successful American tour Evans is now in South East Asia. Darts fanatics in Bangkok and Singapore are seeing ' the master' in action. Then he is off to Australia, which boasts the world's men's pairs champions, to do battle on new ground.
He tells of the strains you suffer when your living depends on your accuracy with three 22-gramme pieces of tungsten alloy-and of the rewards.
