Lancashire v Durham
The stands of Twickenham are a long way from the north of England and consequently the County championship takes on a special importance for both players and spectators in the area. Yesterday's clash in the Northern Division was important to both sides in their endeavour to qualify for the semi-finals. Lancashire have been champions nine times and in their centenary year Durham will wish to add to their seven titles.
