It is ten years since harassed cafe-owner Rene and his battle-axe wife Edith first appeared in David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd's comedy about the French Resistance. Since then the raincoated Resistance fighter Michelle has said "I shall say zis emly wernce" dozens of times.

This scrapbook of classic moments from the series is introduced by Rene and Edith (played by Gorden Kaye and Carmen Silvera) as they celebrate Edith's birthday and reminisce about their eventful war years. Among the clips are Rene's execution, the wedding of Mme Fanny and Leclerc and the time Captain Hans Geering concealed a priceless cuckoo clock about his person.

"Human beings are the sexiest primates alive," states Desmond Morris and then goes on to justify this controversial remark in The Biology of Love, the fourth part in his personal view of the human species.
Morris explains that we have extended our sexuality in many ways: we are interested in mating at any time regardless of whether conception is possible; our courting and lovemaking is more prolonged than any other species; and the intensity of the female orgasm is unique among primates. In this film, advanced camera techniques are used to illustrate the intense physiological changes that take place during the human sexual act.
As well as going step by step through the ritual of courtship in the programme, Morris also explores the concept of "pair bonding", the reasons for unfaithfulness, the origins of homosexuality and the attitudes of society to all aspects of human sexual behaviour.
"One thing is clear," he concludes, "of all our many behaviour patterns, copulation clearly remains one of our most successful and there are nearly six thousand million human beings alive today to testify to this."

Viennese Night is one of the Proms' most popular traditions. Richard Baker introduces highlights of last night's concert from the Royal Albert Hall, featuring a sparkling selection of waltzes, polkas and marches from the Strauss family, plus some operetta treats sung by soprano Felicity Lott.

The Austrian conductor Franz Welser-Most directs the London Philharmonic Orchestra, of which he is musical director. "I was born in Linz, not Vienna, but the Viennese waltz actually comes from Linz so I think you can say the music is in my blood," he says. "When I was 16 I spent the summer playing the fiddle in a light-music band. I got through nearly the whole repertoire then, so choosing the programme for tonight has been as difficult as selecting my 'desert island discs'."
