The Nurburgring Circuit, 14.2 miles of tight wooded bends and 170mph straights in the Eifel Mountains, often draws over a quarter of a million spectators for the German Grand Prix and has been rebuilt this year to meet drivers' demands for more safety. Jackie Stewart now has a big lead for the World Title, but Ickx and Regazzoni in the Ferraris can close the gap in today's big race.
