Athletics
A suitably long programme to accommodate the second and third longest events in the Games - the Marathons. The Men begin at 11.0 am - the winners should finish at about 1.8 pm - and the Women start at 11.30 am and will appear back in the stadium shortly before 2.0. The winners - ROB DE
CASTELLA and anyone's guess. Other finals this afternoon in the Pole Vault, Women's
Long Jump, Women's High Jump, Men's Discus and Women's 100m Hurdles, plus Relay heats, and the 1500m men and women aim for the big one on Saturday.
Bowls
The final matches in the Men's Singles (Willie Wood is champion), the Women's
Pairs and Fours (they're new events this time) and the Men's Fours (Australia are defending).
Badminton
Medals for all winners of the play-offs this afternoon. The finals start tonight.
Wrestling
Finals here too tonight, so the grip is definitely tightening.
