by JEREMY LLOYD and DAVID CROFT
General von Klinkerhoffen has taken personal control of the district. The Resistance decides that its operations will be inhibited by the general's presence and so decrees that he must be blown up. The Colonel comes to a similar conclusion, deciding on poison, while Herr Flick is no longer prepared to tolerate the General's interference and elects to terminate his appointment with a poisoned dart. The culmination of all these assassination plots takes place in Rene's cafe.

Edinburgh 1986 Introduced by Desmond Lynam
There may be fitter and faster athletes in Edinburgh but none stronger than 'DINKO' LUKIN, the Olympic and Commonwealth Super
Heavyweight Weight-lifting Champion. Seatholders in rows 1-5 of the Playhouse

There are Swimming finals you may have seen on BBC2 plus one you haven't, the Women's 4 x 100m Medley
Relay, there's Springboard for women, Highboard for men in Diving, there were 72 medals awarded in Rowing (some coxed, some not), there was a Sprint final in Cycling and quarters in the Team Pursuit, singles and doubles
Badminton, Bowls of every description, Shooting and the Boxing of course - all in the next two hours.
