Nick, a photographer, and his young wife Angie have just had their first baby, a boy. They know that the new addition will alter their lives and were planning to let the basement of their home to pay for a nanny so Angie could go back to work and life would return to normal.
But money is tight, so Nick's south London father Sam has a suggestion to alleviate the financial burden. However, Angle's mother Daphne arrives from Cheltenham with an alternative suggestion - and she's used to getting her own way.
