Terry Madeley was the first person with AIDS to talk openly about his disease on television. Viewers who saw him during AIDS Week last year were moved by his positive attitude, his honesty, and irrepressible humour in the face of death. Pattie Coldwell became a personal friend of Terry's, and made this film about his life. He died on 27 October last year, while filming was still in progress. To mark World AIDS Day, this film tells the story of Terry's fight for the right to die with dignity; the story of a man who can teach us as much about living as dying.
