The Heavyweight Championship of the World
An exclusive of today's World Heavyweight title fight, by satellite from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Muhammad Ali
(World Heavyweight Champion) v
Joe Bugner (European Heavyweight Champion)
Commentator HARRY CARPENTER with comments by HENRY COOPER
Can Joe Bugner become the first Briton to win the richest and greatest prize in sport since Bob Fitzsimmons in 1897? MUHAMMAD ALI, aged 33, has lost only two of his 49 fights. This is his 15th world title fight, and his third defence since he regained the crown from George Foreman in Zaire last October.
JOE BUGNER , aged 25, is Ali's most dangerous opponent since George Foreman. Bugner went the distance with Ali in a 12-round non-title fight in Las Vegas in 1973. Producer MARTIN HOPKINS Editor ALAN HART
