Thailand
Gold, Glitter and the Hill Tribet with John Noakes
Peter Purves , Lesley Judd
The Thais have countless different ways of sheltering from the blazing sun. Temples are roofed with real gold and the Meo tribes-men of the northern border live beneath a thatch of leaves. But most popular of all are the brightly painted paper umbrellas, handmade and decorated at lightning speeds. Equally speedy are the staggering displays of the martial arts by the agile Thai swordsmen!
