The goal that stopped 400 million hearts... Wolfgang Weber (left) beats England goalkeeper Gordon Banks to put West Germany level seconds before full-time in the World Cup Final at Wembley two years ago. Weber's goal sent the match into extra time, but it wasn't enough to save the Germans. England, rising to their greatest heights, scored twice more to take the world crown. Now, today, in Hanover the West Germans seek revenge in a match that seems certain to be another thriller.

Did a frail old English governess vanish on a transcontinental express? Was there ever an old lady in the first place, or did the blow on the head that Iris Henderson received make her imagine that Miss Froy existed? A sinister doctor almost convinces her that she is suffering from hallucinations, but when one of his patients, swathed in bandages, is brought aboard the train accompanied by a nun, and the nun is wearing high-heeled shoes under her habit, Iris's suspicions are confirmed.
This is one of Alfred Hitchcock's finest films, made before he left Britain for Hollywood, and it contains all the ingredients we have come to expect from the master: comedy and horror, the normal and the abnormal, all adding up to an outstandingly exciting movie.

The first of a new series of special television debates.
*
Ludovic Kennedy calls John Mortimer, Q.C. to prove this proposition and Leo Abse, M.P. to disprove it.
Each of them may call any witnesses he wishes to substantiate his argument and use as evidence any film from the BBC archives. The issue is debated before a panel of thirty young lawyers and a specially invited audience.
Leo Abse is one of the M.P.s who have planned the new Divorce Reform Bill at present before Parliament. John Mortimer argues that though the existing system is bad the new proposals could make it worse.
