by Alun Owen
With Bernard Cribbins as Larry, Geraldine Moffatt as Brenda, Godfrey Quigley as Mr. Patrick, Henley Thomas as Taff, Gwendolyn Watts as Janet
Alun Owen's play is about Taff, a Welsh innocent. Taff is a born 'loser' who finds himself humiliated and defeated by an attractive, malicious girl.
It is New Year's Eve and Taff is killing time in a dockside pub before getting the train home to Wales. He talks to the barman, and meets two girls. They eat, drink and dance, but by the end of the play this very ordinary young man has been turned into a snarling, bewildered animal by one of the girls. Why has she done this?
