Natural history camera crews join members of the public to investigate their wildlife stories. John Shaughnessy has one aim - to return a species of giant crickets to Sussex. The
"wart-biter" earned its name in the Middle Ages and now these endangered insects are being bred at London Zoo to support a declining wild population.
Geoffrey Wright 's aim was to record close-ups of his garden birds. He drew them in with a simple bird-table, but now has intelligence tests to keep them occupied, pulling out matchsticks to earn peanuts.
The cameras also follow Peter and Helen Scourse as they nurse injured and starving birds of prey back to health at their Welsh home.

Musing on the dour Scottish philosophy of "Thou shalt not" - this, he points out, is a country where the men wear skirts and no knickers - Connolly tours Edinburgh castle, spits on the Heart of Midlothian, visits the underground street of Mary King 's Close and eventually arrives at the Usher Hall, the night's venue.
