In the remote and rather antiquated railway station of Buggleskelly in Northern Ireland, the stationmaster is the ironically named William Porter - a tyrant of the first order. His minions in incompetence are Jeremiah and Albert, who contribute to the chaos and near mayhem in this great classic of British comedy. For railway fans there is a marvellous chase featuring Gladstone - a steam locomotive cousin to the original Rocket.

Most people know Desmond Morris as the presenter of Animal Roadshow or Zoo Time, and the author of Manwatching and The Naked Ape. For the past 40 years, however, he has also been, in secret, a dedicated surrealist painter. Now he has decided to come out of the bush with an exhibition in London and a book of his paintings. The other surrealist is a former crane driver and lathe operator who lives in Leeds, Anthony Earnshaw. He has never sought publicity, but several distinguished admirers, such as George Melly , think his blackly comic works deserve to be more widely appreciated.
Introduced by Patrick Hughes , painter and chairman of the Chelsea Arts Club.
