The Melrose Sevens
'The Melrose Sports' is the home of seven-a-side rugby, and last year they celebrated their centenary. The winners then were the FRENCH BARBARIANS, who return to the Green-yards to display their exhilarating and inventive rugby against the top Scottish teams and the other guest side, RICHMOND.

Moscow 1958: three teenage girls come to the capital from the provinces in search of love and the bright city life. Antonina is the first to find a boyfriend while Liudmila sets her sights on a sportsman. Katya flirts with the world of television, but when she discovers she is pregnant, her future seems blighted. As they grow older the girls' lives separate and meet again over a period of 20 years.
Vladimir Menshov 's delightful romantic comedy won an Oscar in 1981 for the best foreign-language film, and features a wonderfully funny performance by Alexei Batalov , star of The Cranes are Flying.
