Do hospital doctors and patients speak the same language? This film tries to capture day-to-day life in two hospitals. It looks at how language is used between doctor and patient, and doctor to doctor, as a way of sharing and restricting knowledge.

Judge thy Neighbour
TV cameras are not allowed in British courts. But in this Brass Tacks, three cases have been re-created by those involved. Solicitors, court staff, magistrates, even the defendants themselves, went from the courtroom in Stockport to the studio to relive the proceedings exactly as they had happened.
Their cases raise serious questions about the justice of our criminal courts. Representatives of the legal establishment are called to the court-house to answer Geoffrey Robert son's question: do magistrates courts dispense what Magna Charta called 'judgment by our peers'?

'The real likelihood of the legend of Little Red Riding Hood is that the grandmother ate the wolf and used its skin as a bed rug.'
Two obsessions have dominated John Aspinall 's life-gambling, and a love of wild animals. In 1956 a considerable win at the Cesarewitch enabled him to buy Howletts, a country estate that he has turned in to a unique zoo - a zoo where emotional bonding between keepers and animals is deliberately fostered.
