In this film he is seen reading to audiences around the country, and talking about the life of a poet in the Soviet Union today.

Queen's Bench Seven - QB VII - at the Royal Courts of Justice is the setting for a courtroom drama on an epic scale. Leon Uris's story of the Jewish writer who is sued for libel by an eminent surgeon covers a period of 30 years and travels from Germany in 1945 through post-war London, Warsaw, Kuwait, California and Israel. American author Abe Cady, in a best-selling novel, has accused Polish-born Dr Adam Kelno of performing horrifying experiments on concentration camp victims. Kelno is obsessed with proving his innocence. As the court battle progresses, old agonies are re-lived, ancient wounds re-opened. The film is in two parts. Tonight traces the beginning of the story. Tomorrow, the court case is resolved.
