Over a 30-year period, local GP Julian Tudor Hart has transformed health care in a Welsh mining village. In a mass experiment in preventive medicine, he has helped his patients live longer, healthier lives. This pioneering doctor also brought blood-pressure screening and treatment into the surgery and investigated links between bowel cancer and gut bacteria.
