Continues the season of films celebrating the 60th anniversary of BBC Radio. Starring Will Hay, Clifford Mollison

NBG Radio has few listeners, not surprisingly since its programmes are rubbish. When Garland, the incompetent Director-General, appoints a new programme controller his efforts are sabotaged by theatrical agents. But Jimmie finds remarkable talent in the halls of 'Broadcasting House' including singing charladies and a great dance band. He also discovers a phenomenon, introducing -
in 1935 - the world's first simultaneous broadcast of radio and colour television! Made mainly in black and white, this film is remarkable for its array of talent and its colour sequence which climaxes the film.

A series of five films about ways of life in different parts of the world.
3:A Connemara Family
Kate Nee lives on a small farm on the shore of Loch Corrib in Connemara. Connemara, like the rest of the west of Ireland, has suffered from massive emigration. Seven of Kate's eight sisters left Ireland. And of her nine living children, eight emigrated to Britain or America. She herself is now nearly 80 and can look back to a time when Connemara was crowded with people and lively with village parties, dancing and storytelling.
But times are changing again. Recession abroad and the Irish welfare state have made life on a small Connemara farm more appealing. Two of Kate's sons have returned. Pat has come back to farm - after 27 years in the building trade in England. And John has come back after 20 years in Chicago.
