600 Seconds of 600 Seconds
Alexander Nevzorov is a household name in Russia.
Until the recent coup the flamboyant presenter of 600 Seconds, Leningrad's premier current affairs programme, enjoyed the attention of 47 million viewers who tuned in to see the show's frantic combination of stories, on everything from crime, murder and corruption to religion, culture and the weather. But Nevzorov has been labelled in turn a fascist, a nationalist, a KGB stooge and a radical; he's also survived two assassination attempts. In this short profile of Nevzorov, the controversial presenter discusses the romantic Russian nationalism which is his trade-mark.
