T-Rex Exposed
Tyrannosaurus Rex , tyrant lizard king of all dinosaurs, lived and died out 65 million years ago. Since its discovery in the American west early this century, the film industry has made T-Rex a box office sensation and generations of children have worshipped it in the world's museums of natural history. T-Rex's fearsome reputation was based on a few incomplete remains - until summer 1990.
In the badlands of Montana, a team of paleontologists from the Museum of the Rockies excavated an almost complete skeleton. As the 40-foot carnivorous beast emerges from the stream bed where it died, scientists use a battery of techniques from 3-D imaging to the way an emu runs, hoping to discover the real life of the greatest land predator ever known.
