Europe's towns and cities are being transformed. This series of films, each made by a different European country, profiles six very different architects who are contributing to the took of the new Europe.
Be/gwfn: Lucien /<ro//. He was a community architect before most people had ever heard of the word, be!ieving passionately in involving the people who are going to use or )ive in his buildings with the process of their design. Kroi! believes, too, in organic architecture; he reacts strongly against the b!ank geometry of much modern architecture and looks for more natural forms which react more ecoiogicai!y, more humanely, to human needs. But his career has been punctuated by controversy and debate.
