In July, a French film crew was allowed inside for one day - the first time such access had been granted. The crew talked freely to prisoners, guards, and the three men confined for three months in the punishment cells. Later, the crew returned to Perm 35 to film the release of one of the prisoners and his reunion with his wife and baby.
