Creative Countryside
This summer Bernard Price made a personal journey through England to explore the ways its varied landscape has inspired so many of our best-loved artists and musicians. Each corner of our countryside has spawned creative artists who have made it their own.
For many people Ashdown Forest in Sussex is known as ' Pooh Country', so vivid are the images of A. A. Milne 's books and Ernest Shepherd's illustrations. BERNARD PRICE plays Pooh sticks under the real Pooh Bridge and guides us further off the beaten track to discover other, less familiar artists whose work celebrates the diversity of the English countryside.

The Police We Deserve?

Who are our police? What do they think their job is? What do we expect of the people we have chosen to enforce our laws?
David Jessel reports on how the police are reviewing their methods and talks to those who are critical of police conduct.
