Pigeon racing is one of the most popular participant sports in the country and every summer Saturday in Clay Cross and countless other Northern towns, flyers eagerly await their birds to come back from the race. But there's another pigeon sport where the birds stay at home-circling the loft - and the fanciers do the travelling round the country.
