Target Tirpitz
The story of the German battle-ship and the many ingenious attempts to sink her. Written and narrated by Ludovic Kennedy.
Tirpitz was attacked by manned torpedoes and midget submarines, the Navy, Fleet Air Arm and RAF. She was responsible for one of our outstanding wartime naval disasters, and defied all our efforts for four years until Sir Barnes Wallis ' ' tallboy ' bombs, carried by the Dambuster Squadron, finally capsized her in a Norwegian fjord.
