Never before have making and spending money provoked so many conflicting views and theories. The programme tries to make some sense of it all.
The Pygmies, one of the world's oldest and most extraordinary people, are on the verge of extinction.
A digest of the news of the week and other world matters of interest seen by news cameras around the world. The interesting, the picturesque, the important and the dramatic - plus a visual commentary for those who cannot hear.

Not all penguins live in the icy waters of the Antarctic. Some like it hot, and one species, the Black-footed or Cape Jackass penguin, breeds on a handful of tiny islands under the warm South African sun. Once numbered in millions, they seemed unaffected by a long history of penguin slaughter and egg-collecting until recently when a new threat appeared - oil.
This is the story of the Jackass penguins - who bray like donkeys - and of an amazing rescue operation last year that saved many of them from disaster.

David Munrow introduces music from as early as the reign of Henry II through to the period of Elizabeth I, ranging in style from the elegant and courtly to the bawdy and scandalous.
He also conducts viewers round this National Trust property, which has strong connections with James I and the Gunpowder Plot.
