Reflecting the religious world of a new generation. Presented by Alex Dolphin and Alastair Pirrie
Hong Kong shelters a Chinese community which lives on the water - 80,000 people for whom their boats are home. The whole family eats, sleeps and works on them. Even weddings are celebrated in floating restaurants. When they die they go ashore - to be buried on the land.
Each year special boats are fantastically decorated to compete against one another in the Dragon Boat Races at the Chinese New Year. It is a unique and colourful way of life which is slowly changing, as many of the boat people of Hong Kong are beginning to settle in terraced houses ashore.

The story of piano sound through 250 years: presented by Kenneth van Barthold
Like Mozart and Haydn before him, Beethoven never heard his piano music the way it is usually played today. The first pianos sounded more like harpsichords. This film traces the development of piano sound, starting with one of the earliest instruments made by the piano's Italian inventor Cristofori, and including Beethoven's own piano. Piano music, from C.P.E. Bach to Chopin, Liszt and Frank Martin, is played on original instruments of the sort for which it was written.
