Schoenberg's late-romantic string sextet Verklarte Nacht, written by the Austrian composer in 1899. It is given a surreal visual interpretation here by Adrian Marthaler , who filmed the Brodsky String Sextet, musicians from the Basel Symphony Orchestra and a cast of actors and dancers in the waiting-room of Basel railway station. Does a crisis of morality lie at the heart of Britain's rising crime rate? The horrific killing of 2-year-old Jamie Bulger earlier this year generated both shock and outrage and caused widespread heartsearching. Tonight's special Public Eye debate is chaired byjeremy Paxman and comes from
Feltham Young Offenders' Institution.
The debate, which rounds off BBC2's Crime and Punishment season asks what can be done to persuade young people to respect the law.
