Schoenberg's late-romantic string sextet Verklarte Nacht, written by the Austrian composer in 1899. It is given a surreal visual interpretation here by Adrian Marthaler , who filmed the Brodsky String Sextet, musicians from the Basel Symphony Orchestra and a cast of actors and dancers in the waiting-room of Basel railway station. James Judd conducts.
