Yeats's words "too much beauty for luck" sprangtomind when writer Edna O'Brien chanced upon the story of a missing young mother and child. A week later their bodies were discovered in Cregg Wood in County Clare, just miles from where O'Brien was born and raised. Her controversial new novel In the Forest is a fictionalised account of the tragedy. This documentary follows O'Brien as she talks with local people who knew both the victims and the murderer, and explains how and why she wrote the book.
