Poland. Tonight, in a unique collaboration between
American, Polish, German and British musicians and broadcasters, the event is commemorated in a concert of music from two centuries and three countries. The programme begins with the Polish national anthem and continues with a song from Mahler's Des Knaben Wunderhom, the 'Lachrymosa' and 'Agnus Dei ' from the Polish Requiem by Penderecki, Schoenberg's Survivor from Warsaw, Beethoven's Overture Leonora No 3, Chopin's Polonaise in A flat and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms.
