Football is a male dominated game and likely to remain so. In defence of the status quo, men argue that women's soccer has no crowd appeal but on Boxing Day 1920, two ladies' teams played a match at Goodison Park before 53,000 people. Sports writer Sue Mott reports on the forgotten heyday of the female footballer.

Last in a series of six films. Putting the People in Charge Tonight's film examines the legacy of 100 years of housing policy and looks to the future. Housing politics has often been played for the short term. The mistakes are still being lived in. Glasgow and London have to face up to some of the toughest contemporary problems: the tenants of Glasgow's Easterhouse estate put up with some of the worst physical housing conditions, but are there new solutions at hand? The residents of London's bed and breakfast hotels have no homes at all.
Patrick Nuttgens meets people in both situations. He gives his own answers and deals with the crucial question, who pays?.
