with Michael Cockerell

July is traditionally a dangerous month for Cabinet ministers. In July 1962, Harold Macmillan sacked his Chancellor of the Exchequer and a third of his other Cabinet colleagues - some of his oldest political friends.

Did the normally unflappable Macmillan panic? Was there, as Macmillan claimed, a plot to overthrow him and, if so, who was behind it?

Using rare archive film alongside interviews with Macmillan's closest confidants and victims of his purge, Michael Cockerell considers new evidence for this unprecedented act of political butchery.

Celso and Cora
An intimate and moving portrait of a young Filipino couple trying to survive in the slums of Manila. Celso and Cora are sharply aware of the injustices they have to suffer but there is no self pity as they describe the problems they have to face bringing up two young children on what little they make selling cigarettes outside hotels and discos.
Film-maker Gary Kildea comes to know them as friends as they give him a glimpse of a side of Manila tourists rarely see. In conditions of extreme poverty, Celso and Cora somehow manage to get through with dignity and humour.
