Continuing live coverage of the women's semi-final day at the All England championships. At this stage last year, eventual winner Serena Williams booked her place in the final after an emphatic straight-sets victory over Justine Henin-Hardenne , who is absent this year through injury.
Meanwhile, sister Venus faced more resistance in the form of another Belgian, Kim Clijsters , eventually winning in three sets to ensure a second successive all-Williams final. There was also plenty of men's quarter-final action, with Andy Roddick demolishing Jonas Bjorkman in straight sets and eventual champion Roger Federer meting out similar punishment to Sjeng Schalken.
