Octogenarians Dorothy and Charles live in Southend, Essex, and have been married for only six years. He wanted her for love; she wanted him for companionship. As growing ill-health makes independent living more difficult, they are faced with the choice of either finding an old people's home that will take them together or try to continue living in their own home. Before they make up their minds, they decide it is time to take their annual holiday in their favourite hotel-just ten minutes from their home.
With the onset of winter, however, sickness leaves them weak and depressed. Can they make the compromises that will keep them together?

Will the open-air concert Ken has promised materialise or is Shuttleworth doomed to spend his days on the wrong bus?
This film goes inside the Nationalist enclave of the Lower Ormeau Road in Belfast over four tense days and nights last July, when the Orange Order's plans to march through sensitive areas of the city created tension in the Province. Patricia is determined to stop the march, but there is little she can do other than make sandwiches for visitors to her tiny terraced house and try and keep the calm in her Catholic community.
