Mulu - a Forest in Borneo Borneo's rainforests are being devastated by the loggers' chain-saws. In the Malaysian state of Sarawak, one forest remains remarkably untouched. Mulu supports an exuberant variety of animal life: gibbons, giant hornbill, turtles and the rare sun bear. Rarer still are the nomadic Penan, the very last of Borneo's forest people.
Beneath the jungle lies a cave system of vast proportions with an incredible limestone decor. In the caves roost millions of bats whose droppings form a life-supporting carpet for a whole range of fascinating creatures like the oily-smelling earwig, huge spiders, blue serpents and blind albino crabs. This film was nominated for a BAFTA short film award.

Driving along in my automobile,
My baby beside me at the wheel,
I stole a kiss at the turn of a mile,
My curiosity running wild, Cruisin ' and playing the radio,
With no particular place to go.

In his visual and musical evocation of possible chaos and despoliation caused by our obsession with the car, town planner Graham King argues that unless present transport policy changes, there could be serious social and environmental repercussions - is our dream of mobility becoming a nightmare? Through South East Asia with Jack Pizzey.
Red Pride, Red Sorrow
Jack Pizzey journeys into
South East Asia's Communist states, Cambodia and Vietnam. In Phnom Penh he witnesses 'the Day of Hatred', a day of mourning and remembrance. The
Cambodians still regard themselves as victims of the great powers: 'When the buffalo fight,' they say, 'the grass gets trampled.'
In neighbouring Vietnam, Pizzey meets government officials, a Harvard-educated banker and Madame Dai , 'the last of the bourgeois'. Written by JACK PIZZEY
