Philip Yorke lived there alone, struggling to prevent the house from collapsing. Had it collapsed, a legend would have vanished with it. Fame
For many of us the idea of becoming famous is extremely attractive. After all, fame usually brings wealth and often power, too. In the second of three programmes, Nigel Farrell meets the octogenarian who believes it's never too late to make it big in showbiz; the frustrated inventors whose brilliant ideas should have made them household names; and the villagers who find an unusual fame in the cricketing almanacs by taking to the hallowed turf of Lord's.

Breaking the Mould Carol Straker is a professional dancer who is on the way up. But becoming accepted by the conservative world of British dance has not been easy.
This film follows the making of the first production from Carol's own multi-cultural dance company. It also explores the attitudes of the establishment in Britain towards black dancers, compared to the very different situation in the United States.
With contributors from
Sadler's Wells Ballet, the Royal Ballet and the Dance
Theatre of Harlem, Breaking the Mould provides an inside view of the world of contemporary dance and assesses how young black dancers might change it in the future.
