The Last Squire of Erddig
Until 1973, seven Yorkes had been squires of Erddig. Each had added to a unique collection of treasures at Erddig, near Wrexham in north Wales. Philip Yorke lived there alone, struggling to prevent the house from collapsing. Had it collapsed, a legend would have vanished with it.
