Aneurin Bevan and the Labour Party
Although he died in 1960, Aneurin Bevan 's influence on Labour politics is still a strong one.
Professor Dai Smith argues that, far from Bevan being an anachronism, modern politicians still have to catch up with him. He analyses
Bevan's devastating oratory, his achievements as the minister who created the National Health Service and his role as a man who sometimes shocked his own supporters as much as he did the Tory Party.

Nighthunters
Narrated by Judi Dench A faint whisper of broad wings in the gloom, a flash of talons and the squeak of a rodent clamped in its powerful grasp - this is the traditional image of an owl. But owls are more than things that go pounce in the night. The basic owl design has developed into 130-odd species. Some owls stand as tall as a golden eagle, others no bigger than a robin. They feed on rats and insects, fish and frogs - and even other owls. They are found among Arctic pack ice or the Arizona desert. Written and produced by DILYS BREESE
