Self-Sufficiency at Fachongle Isaf
For nearly 20 years John Seymour has fed himself and his family from small plots of land and now that self-sufficiency is fashionable he has become the unofficial instructor and prophet of the movement. He describes himself as a crank peasant but he is an easy-going and practical man with none of the intensity normally associated with his unorthodox opinions and practices.

A personal report by Alan Hart
' The most dangerous border in the world is one you will not find on any map. It is the line which divides our planet into two worlds, one rich, one poor. It's this division with all its inequalities and injustices, and their likely consequences which threaten the well-being and perhaps the survival of all.'
Tonight's film looks at how catastrophe for hundreds of millions of people could happen - but why it need not.
The film has taken two years to make and was shot in many countries, rich and poor, by an independent film company. This is the British television premiere of a film which will be shown throughout the world.
